The Triad NC Amateur Players Tour opens the spring March 3 at Salem Glen in Clemmons. It will be a big crowd – the “cabin fever” effect. Weather looks ok. Course will be damp – that’s the time of year.

Salem Glen is about half links – style, half parkland. Some holes lie low near the Yadkin River, others run with elevation with trees left and right.

I think that the toughest hole is the 14th, a par 5 running downhill, creek in front of the green, and the green is narrow on approach but wide. Long is dead, short is deader.
